The Branch Foundation's Education Project in Northern Thailand
The youth of the Burmese refugee and migrant communities in Northern Thailand seek a brighter future through supplementary education. Due to their status as unofficial refugees and indigenous migrants, these children can only achieve a preliminary level of schooling that allows for little advancement. In partnership with local community-based organisations, The Branch Foundation (TBF) seeks to evolve our already successful education program by further supporting supplementary education classes, providing practical materials and leading soft skills workshops. TBF will also promote holistic extracurricular activities such as breakdancing and painting to ensure other therapeutic forms of creative expression beyond the classroom.
$5USD provides one stationary pack for 1 student in a marginalized community in Northern Thailand.
