Mozambikes, Change Lives with Bicycles
Bicycles in rural Africa are powerful tools for development, providing increased economic opportunities as well as access to clean water, clinics and schools.
Currently, 50% of Mozambicans live below the poverty line. Thousands die each year from entirely treatable diseases. Over 70% of people work in the informal sector of agriculture, whereby what they can produce, carry and sell translates to their daily incomes. Bicycles provide solutions for all of these limitations.
Mozambikes collects funding from philanthropists worldwide via our website. The funding is then dedicated to donate bicycles to people earning below $2 per day, who have compelling stories of how a bicycle will change their lives.
We also hold workshops to repair bicycles, teach women how to ride and educate people about safety and maintenance of cycling.

We seek to distribute bicycles to low income rural Mozambicans, but we also strive to sustain their social impact. Workshops provide bicycle repairs, and $5USD would fund the costs of 1 tire and 1 tube, which are the most common ailments of a bicycle over the course of 3-6 months.
What To Bring
Bicycle tubes - lightweight but fundamental to keep a bike going!
