Here is an example of just how much $5USD can help. Huge difference. No cost.

$5 helps purchase educational supplies for the children.

Project YES Africa specifically targets its efforts toward the education and development of school-aged children in South Africa.

Our inaugural initiative is a complete re-build of the Nokwanda Community Educare Centre, a pre-school or “crèche,” in the Khayelitsha township outside of Cape Town, South Africa. The centre is a vital resource that provides education, security and sometimes 24-hour care to the children in that community.

In its current state, the centre is over taxed and in need of a complete rebuild to make the structure safe and more conducive to learning. Plans are underway to demolish the existing structure and rebuild the centre from the ground up into a bright, safe, fully functioning facility that will make it possible to educate twice as many children. During construction, Nomthandazo and her students will be relocated to a nearby school facility.

When the new centre is completed it will include the following additions:

- Two-story facility with six rooms

- Expanded kitchen with new appliances

- Improved sanitation facilities

- Upgraded electrical and plumbing

- New sick bay

Project Yes Africa will also provide:

- Enhanced learning curriculum for the children

- New desks, activity tables, chairs, shelving, and playmats

- Professional training for the staff Visit our website for more information.

Whether it means building child-friendly schools, providing educational materials, training teachers, or providing funding for care  your donation to Project YES Africa will support a child’s right to quality education in South Africa.

This project can be visited year-round during weekdays. You can share the daily life of the children and contribute. Children love to have activities with volunteers. Please contact Antoinette at [email protected] if you are interested in arranging a visit.
